What to expect?
We can meet online or via phone to chat about your child's strengths, weaknesses, interests and needs.
I can give you information about the services I offer and we can determine whether Glowing Literacy is a good fit for your family.
Step 2 -
Let's find out what your child needs and make a plan for the best way to meet his/her needs.
Comprehensive Reading Assessment
What to expect?
*I meet with your child online for three 45-60 minute sessions.
*I work to build a rapport and create an environment as stress-free as possible.
*I assess your child's abilities in phonological awareness, decoding, encoding and reading fluency.
*After the evaluation, you will receive a detailed report that shows the academic strengths and weaknesses of your child. I am unable to provide a Dyslexia diagnosis, but I can create instructional goals and plans tailored directly to meet your child's needs.
*I will also meet with you online or via phone to discuss the results and address any questions/concerns you may have.

Online Tutoring Sessions
What to expect?
*These are NOT your typical online lessons! :) No need to have PTSD to the times of Covid! :)
*Each lesson is a fully-engaging, multi-sensory, one-on-one instructional session tailored to the SPECIFIC NEEDS of YOUR child.
*Explicit, systematic and sequential reading instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.
*Tutoring sessions are recommended to be 50 minute sessions at least two times each week-depending on your child's individual needs. Research shows this is important to ensure sufficient growth.
*Frequent progress monitoring and data collection will be taken within sessions to track your child's growth and make adjustments to their individual plan.
